So, what’s happening in the world?
With a major shift occurring in the ways that people and society operate, quite a bit of life is changing – for everyone. People are stuck at home, they’re isolated, they’re quarantining and not seeing friends or socializing as much, etc. Many people need help staying accountable, they need help not reverting back to old ways, or even just help with getting out of the same cycle that they’ve been in for years. These circumstances have encouraged a lot of people to look inward and to think more about themselves and thus, their own personal development and what they want out of life. People all around the world have started placing a greater emphasis on themselves, their families, their freedom, and their time. These internal changes are having a truly profound impact on the way that society operates.
Just as people are changing their thinking, workplaces are changing the way that they operate. While much of this is due to the requirements set forth by state and local guidelines to minimize risk of COVID-19 exposure, there are quite a few additional changes underway as a result of this change in societal consciousness. For example, many workplaces are no longer requiring a 5-day, in-person work week. Many organizations have shifted to a model that only requires two or three days per week in the office. Other workplaces have adopted an entirely remote business model, giving their employees the freedom to choose where their work gets done, and saving their organization the monthly costs of rent & utilities. This shift to remote work has also paved the way for many health & wellness professionals, such as dieticians, nutritionists, personal trainers, and life coaches to become entrepreneurs – only now, these services can be bought, sold, and performed all through digital mediums. As these operational changes unfold before our eyes, people are placing a greater and greater emphasis on their work / life balance and improving their quality of life.
That’s amazing! But what does it have to do with marketing?

It’s important to understand that not everyone is willing to put in the work to change, nor is everyone willing to change. It’s important to make sure your product or service is accessible to people, but the exchange of money also means that people are investing in themselves, just as you are investing in yourself by running a business that shares something positive with others.
- Health & wellness businesses, products, and services, have never been so important as they are right now in history.
